Go to my web page. Find the page third grade parts of a book. You will be going to this webpage:

You will be writing a really short story with three characters—a humungous, a ghastly and an icky. Those can be the character names or you can have a “humungous pizza” or “icky toenail”.

On the first page you will put your title and your whole name.

Click on next page

On that page choose the template in the left-hand top row. Type in the title again in the top box. In the next box put your name. In the third box write your illustrator’s name. In the last box make up the name of the publisher and put the copyright date of 2009.

Go to next page. Choose one of the templates from the second row. Type the first sentence of your story in the box. Continue writing your story, one sentence per page. Make sure you use all three characters. When you are done typing, raise your hand so Mrs. R. or Mrs. Harned can check your story. We will help you print it.

When it is printed, you will need to fold and cut it. Then you can draw your pictures.

CHOICE 2 

Go to the same site. Write a story about you and Mr. Molle having an adventure. You can write about anything, but make sure your story is appropriate--no violence, making fun of anyone or toilet humor.
